Who I Am
For nearly 20 years, I worked in IT, supporting and maintaining complex systems. I never imagined I would one day trade that career for something entirely different. However, life has a way of surprising us.
Massage had always fascinated me, and I even began training in my late twenties. But at the time, it wasn’t the right moment to pursue it fully. Years later, an unexpected life change became the catalyst for my transformation. When I moved to Hong Kong with my husband and stepped away from my IT career, I discovered a new chapter waiting for me.
In Hong Kong—and Asia in general—massage is deeply woven into everyday life, with massage parlours on almost every corner. Being surrounded by this culture rekindled my passion for massage, and I decided to take the leap. I committed to formal training and embarked on a journey that has brought me immense fulfilment.

Why I Chose to Become a Massage Therapist
I carefully explored the training options available and chose to study holistic massage therapy. This decision was rooted in my belief in the profound benefits of massage—not just for physical well-being but also for mental and emotional balance.
Throughout my training, I focused on honing my skills with practice on family members and close friends. These early experiences taught me the value of creating a space for relaxation and healing, sparking my deep appreciation for the transformative power of touch.
My Experience
Once I earned my diploma, I knew I needed to broaden my experience and build confidence as a practitioner. While living in Hong Kong, I saw an opportunity to combine my skills with a cause close to my heart. I organized a massage-thon to raise funds for a local charity. The event was a pivotal moment in my journey.
Not only did I gain hands-on experience working with a diverse group of clients, but I also witnessed firsthand the positive impact massage had on their well-being. And as an added bonus, I was able to give back to the community—a truly rewarding experience.
Later, when I moved to Singapore, I couldn’t officially work, so I continued to practice informally on family and friends. These years of practice allowed me to refine my techniques and maintain my connection with massage therapy.
Returning to London: Choosing My Passion
Now back in London, I faced a decision: return to IT or fully embrace my passion for massage therapy. The choice was clear. I am deeply committed to creating a safe, calming space where clients can relax, unwind, and let go of their worries. That's how Camellia Massage was born
Massage therapy is more than a profession for me—it’s a way to help people feel better, live better, and find balance in their lives. This is my passion, and I am excited to share it with you.
